Mohamed Zidan suffers cruciate ligament blow
Borussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture in the Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim on Sunday. BVB team doctor Markus Braun made the diagnosis after an MRI scan at the Duisburg hospital BG Unfallklinik on Monday.
The 28-year-old Egyptian international is expected to undergo surgery by the knee specialist Dr Jürgen Eichborn in Straubing. According to Dr Braun, Zidan will be sidelined for approximately six months.
